TENETS OF FAITH
The Scriptures
We believe that the Bible is infallible and that it is the only inspired Word of God.
The Godhead
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
The Birth, Death, Resurrection and Return of Christ
We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, that He was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead, and is coming again with power and great glory.
The Rapture
We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the church at Christ’s coming.
Sin and Salvation
We believe that all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. We believe that as a result of sin, man has been separated from God and destined to eternal judgment in Hell. We believe that God has offered salvation to all people and that this gift is received only through faith in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. This salvation is available only through God’s grace and not our own good works.
Baptism in Water
We believe that those who are saved have been commanded by Jesus to be baptized (fully immersed) in water, understanding that although this act does not save them, it is an outward declaration of their identification with Him in His death, burial and resurrection.
The Lord’s Table
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has directed His church to regularly share a meal memorializing the breaking of His body and the shedding of His blood by which we have been redeemed. This ordinance should continue to be practiced until He comes again.
Physical Healing
We believe that healing for our physical bodies has been provided through the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.
Gifts of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit reveals His presence and power in the church through the supernatural manifestation of His Gifts according to 1 Corinthians 12 – 14 and that these gifts still function and serve a vital purpose in the church today.
The Resurrection of the Saved & Lost
We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost, the saved to everlasting life and the lost to everlasting damnation apart from the presence of God.
